Designed as part of our EdTech Social Enterprise Initiative, this free app merges education with adventure, making learning as boundless as the stars themselves.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is celebrated for its pioneering space missions, and Chandrayaan-2 stands out as a shining example. Launched in July 2019, the mission set its sights on the Moon’s south pole, a region of great scientific interest due to its unexplored terrain and potential resources.
With its advanced orbiter, lander, and rover, Chandrayaan-2 captivated audiences worldwide. The mission sparked curiosity and inspired millions, showcasing India’s technological prowess and fueling interest in space exploration on a global scale.
The ISRO App offers an intuitive and sleek user interface designed to make space exploration engaging and fun. Each section is filled with interactive elements, allowing users to swipe, tap, and explore the mission in real-time.
From controlling the spacecraft’s journey to guiding the lunar rover across the Moon’s surface, every interaction is thoughtfully crafted to immerse users in a dynamic and educational experience. The Portal Experience in the ISRO APP allows users to step through a virtual gateway and walk onto the surface of the Moon from wherever they are. Users can move through it and be transported to the lunar landscape, as if crossing dimensions in real-time.
The ISRO Moon Mission Experience is a faithful replication of the real mission, capturing every stage from rocket launch to lunar exploration. With intuitive controls and gamified elements, users can actively engage by launching the spacecraft, performing slingshot maneuvers, guiding the orbiter, and attempting the lander’s descent.
